Oct. 19- CROP Hunger Walk- Step up to end hunger at home and around the world by taking part in the Lititz CROP Hunger Walk, a community event sponsored by Church World Services and held locally by the Lititz Church of the Brethren. CROP Hunger Walks help to support the overall ministry of Church World Service, especially grassroots, hunger-fighting development efforts around the world.  Each local CROP Hunger Walk can choose to return up to 25 percent of the funds it raises to hunger-fighting programs in its own community.The walk begins from the church pavilion on Sunday, Oct. 19 at 2 p.m., 300 W. Oct. 25-Lions Halloween Parade-The new daytime parade will begin at 9:30 a.m. and will take place exclusively on Main St. this year.  The parade will begin and end on Main Street, starting at Locust and Main Street traveling west on Main Street and ending at the Square. A new Fall Fest, featuring food, rides, activities, games, and lots more will be held immediately after the parade on West Main Street (adjacent to Lititz Fire Company and Lititz Mutual). Nov. 8 & 15- AARP Driver Safety Program at United Zion Retirement Community– A course for drivers 55 and older will be held on two consecutive Saturdays at UZRC, Nov. 8 & 15, from 8 a.m. to noon each day. The classroom course is designed to help drivers refresh skills and adapt to age-related challenges, and completion of the class may quality individuals to receive a discount on their auto insurance (check with your carrier). Prior registration is required by Nov. 3. Cost: $ $15 for AARP members, $20 for non-members, payable at the first class.
