Dec. 24- Family Christmas Eve Services- Sure, it’s  a little different attending church at a movie theater, but hey, people went to hear Jesus preach at a lake. Just look at it this way–at Victory Church, Jesus is the coming attraction. Dec. 24-Candlight Service- For most kids, candlelight services are one of the best things about Christmas at church. Dec. 24- Two Candlelight Services- The Lititz Church of the Brethren will be aglow in candlelight during two services on Christmas Eve. The first is for families at 7 p.m. and features an original drama written by a church member, and the second is a late-night Lessons and Carols at 10 p.m. A special offering will be collected for Nigeria Crisis Fund and COBYS ministries in Lancaster City.  Please bring non-perishable food items to donate to the Lititz-Warwick Community Chest food bank. Dec. 24-“A Christmas Celebration”-Trinitiy Evangelical Congregational Church has two services to offer. The first, featuring Trinity Kids Alive and topped off with a candle-lighting ceremony, begins with a carol sing at 5:45 p.m.  A cantata service will start at 7:45 p.m. with carols, and you can also participate in a candle lighting at that service as well. Dec. 29 to Jan. 3– We’re calling it Chick-fil-a for Chuckie Fundraiser, because every time you go to Chick-fil-a in Lancaster between Dec. 29 and January 3 with a flyer to purchase delicious chicken, 15% of the your purchase goes to help Chuckie Magee, a Warwick special needs grad who was diagnosed with bone cancer. Dec. 30-Rally Night for Chuckie Magee- December 30 from 5 to 7 p.m., the Magee family will hold a Rally Night at Chick-fil-a in Lancaster to educate and raise funds for Chuckie Magee, a Warwick special needs grad who was diagnosed with bone cancer. Prize wheel, and need we mention the delicious chicken and amazing lemonade?

Dec. 31- New Year’s Eve Party to Benefit Lititz- The Lititz Women of Today are always at work finding ways to benefit the community, and this time, they’re throwing a bash at the General Sutter Inn from 8:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. to benefit Lititz.  $90. For info call 717-626-2115.

Wednesdays- Free Lunch for the Community- St. Luke’s Church of Christ in Lititz offers a free lunchtime meal every Wednesday from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. Our newspaper office is just up the street, and one day a man who had just enjoyed lunch at St. Luke’s recommended it to us. 222 N. 2nd Saturday – Free Breakfast and Food/Clothing Bank- The folks at Lititz Mennonite Church open the doors of the church from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. on the second Saturday of each month to help out those who are struggling. 165 Front St., Lititz.
