Dec. 29 to Jan. 3– We’re calling it the Chick-fil-a for Chuckie Fundraiser, because every time you go to Chick-fil-a in Lancaster between Dec. 29 and January 3 with a flyer to purchase delicious chicken, 15% of the your purchase goes to help Chuckie Magee, a Warwick special needs grad who was diagnosed with bone cancer. Jan. 13- Kindergarten EXPO- Have a child who will turn 5 on or before Sept. 15 and who will start Kindergarten in the Warwick School District? Well then, come to the Warwick High School Performing Arts Center on January 13 and get schooled on everything you need to know for the big day. Arrive between 6 and 6:30 p.m. for a 45-minute presentation that begins at 6:30 p.m., which will be followed by an Early Childcare Provider Fair from 7:15 to 8 p.m. Unable to attend? Pick up an enrollment packet at your assigned school after Jan. 30. Feb 13-15- Lititz Fire and Ice Festival- Did you get your Chili Cook-off Button yet? Save a couple of bucks by buying your ticket now versus standing in line at the door. because soon we’ll be freezing our toes looking at the amazing outdoor ice sculptures and flaming our insides with some of the spiciest chili around! Wednesdays- Free Lunch for the Community- St. Luke’s Church of Christ in Lititz offers a free lunchtime meal every Wednesday from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. Our newspaper office is just up the street, and one day a man who had just enjoyed lunch at St. Luke’s recommended it to us. 222 N.
