(HERSHEY, Pa.-LititzDailyNews.com)–New York Times best-selling author Joyce Meyer returns to Hershey this Thursday for a three-day conference at the Giant Center, and she’s found that people there aren’t just sweet on chocolate.
“We love Hershey because the people there are hungry for God,” said Matt Clark, supervising editor for Joyce Meyer Ministries and one of the emcees for the conference, to LititzDailyNews.com.
Her conferences draw tens of thousands from up and down the East Coast to Hershey to hear a message of hope and encouragement from the worldwide ministry leader at each of four free conference sessions.
“Year after year, conference attendees fill the arena to hear Joyce teach a practical message from God’s Word and help them apply the teaching to their everyday lives,” said Clark.
Sessions will take place on Thursday, August 25, at 7 p.m., Friday at 10 a.m. and 7 p.m., and Saturday at 10 a.m. Doors open two hours before each session. Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis. Worship at each session will be led by musical artist Phil Wickham.
While in Hershey, Meyer hopes to help a Harrisburg non-profit, Morning Star Pregnancy Services, an organization that provides care and practical assistance to women, men, and teens unprepared for pregnancy.
“We also mobilize our conference attendees to help the local community, and in Hershey, we are supporting Morning Star Pregnancy Services with donations of diapers, wipes and formula.”
Conference attendees are encouraged to bring the items to the Giant Center during the conference, where donations will be collected through Multiply Hope, an outreach of Joyce Meyer Ministries, to be distributed locally to those in need.
“Look for the MULTIPLY HOPE sign at the conference donation area to drop off these items,” said Clark.
No registration is required for the conference. Interpretation for the deaf will be provided. Spanish translation will also be available. These sections will be reserved until 30 minutes before the start of each session. For more information about the event at the Giant Center in Hershey, visit joycemeyer.org.
