Girl’s Varsity Game Cancelled Due to Suspected Gas Leak
The Warwick varsity boy’s basketball team has been on a roll this season, winning 5 in a row coming into tonight’s game against McCaskey.
Warwick wound up victorious by a single point, beating McCaskey 44-43 in a league game at home tonight, Thursday night.
Damian Soto led the Warrior scoring effort with 11 points for the night, including a pair of three pointers.
The Boys JV team lost 61-39. The girl’s JV team did not get to complete their game at MCCaskey. According to Warwick Atletic Director Ryan Landis, “Someone thought they smelled a gas leak so McCaskey reported it and evacuated the facility until they could check it just to be safe,” Landis wrote in an email tonight. “JV played ~3 quarters… Varsity will be rescheduled most likely for sometime next week,” Landis wrote.
