Smoke could be seen billowing from a local business Thursday night after 10 p.m. when a blaze broke out inside a warehouse near the major north-south route through Lititz. The fire reportedly spread to two trailers parked outside the building, according to a story posted online by local television station ABC27 that says the blaze erupted at the Oehme Carrier Corporation located off on Mark V Drive in north Lititz off Furnace HIlls Pike. The Lititz Fire Company responded to extinguish the blaze.

We are unsure of the damage but no one was hurt,” Nate Oehme said Friday to LititzDailyNews.com. “We are operating this morning.”

Oehme Carrier Corporation is a family owned trucking company that hauls food products to distributors throughout the northeast region, according to the corporate Facebook page. The Oehme Carrier Corporation website indicates that the company operates 21 tractors and 60 trailers and specializes in truckload and LTL temperature-controlled shipments throughout the mid-Atlantic and New England regions.

The Lancaster Live Incident Status listing showed that the call came in at 10:13 p.m, with multiple engines responding to the location of the fire. According to the ABC27 report, no injuries were reported and the cost of damages to the business are unknown at this time. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
