Friday, Dec. 3 – Christmas in the Park- There’s nothing like a small-town Christmas tree lighting ceremony to bring in the holiday spirit. Come enjoy a special celebration in the band shell, sing your heart out to familiar Christmas carols, and countdown to the lighting of the Community Christmas Tree. There might even be a visit by Mr. and Mrs. Claus! Cost: Free Time: 6:30-7:15 Location: Lititz Springs Park, 18 N. Broad St., Lititz.

Friday, Dec. 3 – Brethren Village Bright Lights Drive-Through Display- Drive among over 150,000 lights adorning the 100-acre Brethren Village campus in Lititz. Cost: Free Time: 5-10 p.m. Location: Location: Brethren Village, 3001 Lititz Pike, Lititz. Note: This is a drive-through event only. Remain in your vehicle.

Thursday, Dec. 9 – Annual Carol Sing- If you like the Moravian Trombone Choir and the chance to sing Christmas carols as much as we do, you’ll want to head over to Church Square on Main St. in downtown Lititz on Thursday, December 10 at 6:30-7:30 p.m. for the annual carol sing. Song sheets will be distributed for everyone to sing holiday classics, then warm up with a snack in Fellowship Hall. The high-tech Putz that tells the Christmas story, complete with coordinated lights and soundtrack, will also be available for various showings during the evening in the church social hall. Cost: Free Time: 6:30-7:30 p.m. Location: Lititz Moravian Church Square, 8 Church Square, Lititz. Off-street parking is available in the lot behind the church and at the Pierson playground off of South Cedar Street.

Friday, Dec. 10 – Christmas Candlelight Tour – What could be more evocative of the traditional Christmas spirit than a tour through the Johannes Mueller house by candlelight? Will candle-cast shadows conjure up images of Christmas past or Christmas future? Find out in the present for free, from 5 to 9 p.m., on Friday, December 11. Let costumed docents transport you back to the past on a 40-minute guided tour of the historic 1792 home. Peruse the Lititz Museum and view artifacts, antiques, and more. The gift shop will be selling a selection of Moravian stars, ornaments, and other local handcrafts. Cost: Reservations required, $5 per person, minimum credit card charge for phone orders $10. Friday, Dec. 10 – Second Friday – Downtown Lititz buzzes with energy, activity and entertainment when merchants keep their doors open late from 5 to 9 p.m. Vendors, specials, and different offerings each month.

Saturday, Dec. 11 – Carol Sing – Ah, the sound of Christmas carols ‘mid the chilly night air. Come to Old Zion Church in Brickerville on December 11 to sing along. Musicians Abigail’s Garden will perform and lead the carol sing. Cost: Free and open to all. Time: 3 p.m. Location: Old Zion Church, Reifsnyder Rd., Brickerville (accessed from Rt. 322 & Brubaker Valley Rd.) Note: Dress warmly for this outdoor event. Sunday, Dec. 12- 10th Annual “Simply Christmas” Celebration Drive Thru – Gift bags for children and adults, take-home crafts and cookie-decorating bags, plus The Gift of the Magi, an opportunity for children to select two grab bags to gift to adults in their lives. Cost: Free Time: 4-7:30 pm. Location:   Lititz UMC, enter via Lower Market St. entrance, closest to Dean Saylor/Linear Park.
