The annual Chili Cook-off is underway in Lititz, with competitors from local organizations representing 25 different charities bring the heat, and the fire, to test the taste buds of celebrity judges including Steve Zuckerman, Warwick coach Chris Christensen, school board member Todd Rucci, and former reality TV star Jon Gosselin. With wind chill factors driving temps in the teens to a real-feel of -2 at noon today, a hot cup of chili sounds like the perfect recipe for locals trying to stay warm.

The chili cook-off is part of the weekend Fire and Ice Festival that kicked off in a frigid way last night with a well-attended event featuring ice carving, sculptures, and entertainment in Lititz Springs Park.

Since temperatures expected to continue below freezing at least through Tuesday morning, the ice sculptures should be around for a few more days to enjoy.
