The varsity girl’s field hockey team came away with a victory Thursday night in their game against Cedar Crest, who scored first in the game.

Crest’s Maddie Gable scored on a pass from Lexi Eberly at the 21:02 mark to get on the board.  Warwick was held scoreless in the first half and finally got on the board in the second half on a goal by Hannah Bollinger at 14:11. Just over thirty seconds later, Lauren Sammet recorded the winning goal for the Warriors.

Haley Miller, Lucy Reed, and Adrienne McGarrigle all recorded assists for Warwick. Cedar Crest fired 8 shots, seven of which were stopped by Warwick goal keeper Megan Bomba.

Warwick only managed 6 shots during the game, but was able to get two of those past CC goal keeper Kelsey Bell for a 33% scoring percentage.  Warwick’s Megan Bomba stopped 7 shots on the evening, allowing only a single goal.

The JV field hockey team lost 3-0 to Cedar Crest.

Correction: The original story published said that Warwick had 8 shots on goal when they had six shots.
