Today is the last day of a special two-day fundraiser for Chuckie Magee, the Warwick High School grad who is battling bone cancer, at downtown Lititz restaurant that has a special connection to the courageous young man.

Magee, a young man with special needs who is well known in the community for his quick smile and outgoing personality, used to assist Roma Pizza owner Vito at his restaurant. In October, Chuckie was diagnosed with bone cancer. After suffering side effects from the chemotherapy, his right leg was amputated in an effort aimed at saving his life.

Chuckie has been hospitalized since the fall at Penn State Hershey Medical Center, and was recently moved to rehab, where he’s been working hard, according to his mother, Pam Magee. The mother and son hope to be returning to their Lititz apartment soon.

Roma Pizza will donate 15% of each check today to cover medical and personal expenses for Chuckie Magee when you mention “LititzDailyNews.com” at Roma Pizza or show this article when you pay. Roma Pizza is located at 54 E. Main St., Lititz. Here’s a link to the Roma Pizza menu. The phone number is 717-626-6325.
