A Lititz business has stepped up to cover the full cost of abstinence speaker Pam Stenzel’s November 19 assembly to Warwick School District students and parents.

“This means no taxpayer dollars will be spent on the presentation,” said Dr. April Hershey, Superintendent of the Warwick School District in an interview today.

The assembly became embroiled in controversy following an article published on October 15 in Lancaster Newspapers.

Accorcding to Hershey, the business called the district today and offered to pay the $3,500 for Stenzel to address middle and high school students and parents after reading the coverage in local news sources.

“We are overwhelmed by that generosity,” said Hershey.
