May 1 Plant Exchange – The annual Historical Foundation plant exchange is a perennial favorite in Lititz, and you don’t even need a green thumb to participate. Just bring a perennial plant with an ID tag in a container that will make it home for its new owner, and you’ll leave with a new plant of your own. 1:30-2:30 p.m. Mary Oehme Gardens, behind the Lititz Musuem, 137-145 E. May 6-7Herb and Garden Faire at Landis Valley Museum – This vibrant Faire features plants from the Museum’s Heirloom Seed Project–heirlooms, natives, and other hard-to-find varieties–along with informative lectures, a variety of vendors and food. Held Mother’s Day weekend (hint, hint), Saturday and Sunday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tickets: Adults: $12.00; Seniors: $10.00; Children 6 to 11: $8.00; age 5 and under: Free Tickets available at event or online here for Friday tickets and here for Saturday tickets. May 13 – 2nd Friday Downtown Lititz – Downtown Lititz buzzes with energy, activity and entertainment when merchants keep their doors open late from 5 to 9 p.m. Vendors, specials, and different offerings each month. Go to lititzpa.com for details about the May event.

May 14- US Postal Service Food Drive – All you have to do help Stamp Out Hunger is to place bagged, non-perishable food items out for pickup by postal carriers on Saturday. More info at NALC.org

May 21 – Kids Free Day in the Park – Kids of Kindergarten through 5th grade age are invited to Lititz Springs Park for a special day of fun during this new event. More info: LititzSpringsPark.com.

May 21 Rock-n-Glow 5K Race – Runners will be aglow in downtown Manheim for the 8th Rock-n-Glow 5K walk/run and the 1/2 mile Kids Color Fun Run. Event starts at 6 p.m. with a live DJ, food, activities, and glow items. Kids race starts at 8pm;  5K walk/run kicks off at 9 p.m. Register at Rock-n-Glow.

May 28 Lancaster Symphony Orchestra – The Lancaster Symphony will strike a chord in Lititz at a free Memorial Day concert at the Bandshell in Lititz Springs Park. 7 p.m. Free.
