A band featuring Warwick High School graduates will step into the late-night spotlight this week with an appearance on a well-known television show. Viewers who want to see some hometown boys make their first national television appearance in the US will need to stay up late Wednesday night or hope to catch their appearance online the following day.

The Districts will appear on Late Night with Seth Myers on NBC television in the wee hours of Thursday morning, beginning at 12:35 a.m. EST. The appearance will mark their US television debut.

The band announced the news to fans on their Twitter account.

“So excited to tell you all we will be playing on @LateNightSeth on 2/11!” the band  tweeted while on tour in Europe promoting their new album A Flourish and a Spoil, which releases in the US tomorrow.

The band recently got a boost from Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon, who featured The District’s single “Peaches” online on his Tumblr account.

“We’re kicking off your Tuesday with an exclusive listen to a brand new track from The Districts called “Peaches,” Fallon’s tumblr post read. “It’s off their upcoming album A Flourish and a Spoil which will be releasing February 10th on Fat Possum records!”

The District’s album becomes available for sale on 2/10 on iTunes here and on Roughtrade here, where a limited number of purple LPs are available in addition to the MP3 and a version with a bonus four track CD of exclusive and unheard recordings.
